Annalee Knapp Carpenter

Annalee Knapp Carpenter, 93, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2017.  Born in Galveston to Jacob and Bessie Knapp on February 18, 1924, Annalee spent the greater portion of her life as a Houstonian.  A loving and devoted wife and mother, Annalee additionally possessed the qualities of compassion, caring and concern for others, choosing the profession of nursing as her career. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lillian Warren-Hare, nephew, Ronald Elliott Levine, brother-in-law, Sam Levine, nephew-in-law, Richard “Dick” Slade, and former husband, Dale Carpenter.  She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Brum (Thomas), sister, Bernice Levine, and nieces, Roberta “Bobbie” Slade, Donna Holbrook (Glenn), Linda Levine and Janet Levine. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
