John Scott Milam passed away peacefully on Friday, June 8, 2018, at his home in Granbury TX. after a long illness. Services are being held on Saturday-June 23 at 1:00pm at The Triple Cross Cowboy Church located at 3470 N. Lipan Dr. Granbury TX. 76048
John was born on July 11, 1939, in San Antonio TX. to Scott & Gay Milam. He spent over 40 years in the music industry as an artist manager. John loved his career and enjoyed the relationships and friends he made in the business and he loved the travel that came with his career.
John and his wife, Dianna, shared the love of travel and they did so often throughout their lives and eventually decided to travel full time in their RV, where they made numerous friends along the way. John was also an avid car enthusiast and raced for Porsche in the early 1960’s. He enjoyed going to car shows and watching classic car auctions. John loved God, life and family. He was known for his great sense of humor and John was an upbeat person who kept his positive attitude until the end.
John is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Dianna Milam, his son, David Milam of Fort Worth TX., his brother, Thomas Milam of San Antonio TX. and his sister, Suzanne Grafton of San Angelo TX.
John was preceded in death by his parents and his eldest son, Scott “Jea” Milam.
John was also one of the last descendants of Colonel Benjamin Rush Milam, who led The Battle Of San Antonio during the Texas Revolution.
