Cody “Dax” Wooten, age 24, beloved son, father, brother and friend to many, was called home into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 21, 2018. Dax was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 10, 1994. He had a passion and zeal for living life to the fullest, had a huge heart and always brought smiles and laughter to those around him. Growing up, he enjoyed snowboarding, hunting and riding dirt bikes, among other things. But, other than spending time with his daughter Brinley, his biggest love was fishing. On his days off, he could usually be found on one of the area lakes with a line in the water. He passed from this world and into Heaven doing what he loved most.
Dax is survived by his father Bob Wooten, mother Darla Durand Berry, step-father Rick Berry, daughter Brinley Paige Wooten, girlfriend Kailyn Willey, brother Bobby Wooten, sister Katie Berry, grandparents Fred and Wenda Durand and Carla Berry, aunts/uncles Anton and Gena Durand Dibowitz, Dana Durand, Howard and Carol Gloor, cousins Rielly Durand, Rory Dibowitz?, Ellery Dibowitz, Laura Fischer and Ashley Ibsen, and great-great aunt Doris Peck. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Carol Blair, grandfather Alvin Berry, and great-great uncle James R. “Slim” Peck.
