Norvella Kaye Vervalin of Royse City, Texas passed at age 77. She was born on April 19, 1941 in Royse City, Texas, to Allen Norvel Vervalin and Jeanette Allen (Pare) Vervalin. She was one of five children raised in Royse City. Norvella attended Royse City High School and graduated Class of 1958. Norvella was a woman of faith, though a stroke incapacitated her 30 years ago, she never lost her belief in the Lord. It was this faith that kept her going. Prior to her stroke, Norvella was very involved with First United Methodist Church in Royse City. From her early 20s, Norvella taught at the church. She had a youth group, and elders group, and she was also involved in the Girl Scout program there. She was a dedicated servant of the church and truly had a caring heart. This was our Norvella, she will be missed dearly.
Norvella was greeted in Heaven by her parents, Norvel and Jeanette Vervalin; her siblings: Don Allen Vervalin, Harrison True Vervalin and Gregory Hale Vervalin. Her life will continue to be remembered by her sister: Pam Vervalin Harvey of Garland, TX; and many more nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 am Saturday, September 8, 2018, at First United Methodist Church – 305 N. Josephine St. Royse City, TX 75189, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Private burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made in Norvella’s honor to First United Methodist Church- Building Fund – 305 N. Josephine St. Royse City, TX 75189.
