Luceil Mary Copeland, age 84, of Lovelady, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at her residence. Luceil was born October 15, 1933 in Bland, Missouri to parents, Oscar and Cora Decker Hohl. She married the love of her life, David Copeland, on October 17, 1953. Luceil coached Little League Baseball and also taught Children’s Bible School at Fairbanks Baptist Church. She was vice-president and treasurer of Copeland Air Conditioning and Heating. Luceil was a wonderful homemaker, loved her animals, gardening and traveling. She was also a member at Lovelady Antioch Baptist Church.
Luceil is survived by husband of 65 years, David L. Copeland of Lovelady; son, Gordon Copeland and wife, Aida of Porter; daughter, Cynthia Harmon and husband, Lawrence of Hockley; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, Oscar and Cora Hohl; siblings; son, Nathan Copeland and daughter-in-law, Annette Copeland.
Graveside services for Luceil Mary Copeland will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2018 in the Lovelady Antioch Cemetery with Rev. Bob Lacey officiating. Family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
