Etta Jean Wells, 91, of Greenville, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018.
Her funeral service will be Monday, Sept. 17, at 2 p.m., at the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. Paul Clark and Rev. Lance Crump officiating. Interment will be in Humboldt Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 16, 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wells was born in Hunt County on Dec. 17, 1926. She was the daughter of Austin Ford and Fannie Jewel Steen Ford. She married Robert Wells on Aug. 20, 1944 in Rockwall. She was a retired seamstress at Henson-Knickernick and a member of First Assembly of God Church in Greenville.
Survivors include her son, Levoy Wayne Wells and wife Brenda of Greenville; daughter, Lorena Talley of Commerce; sisters, Gladys Hyden of Greenville, Dot Delcore of Odessa and Barbara Hott of Irving; grandchildren, Steven Talley and wife Macey of Wolfe City; John Talley and wife Kelli of Commerce, Jason Wells and wife April of Merit and Michelle Basham and husband Chris of Commerce, Kristy Pringle of Grand Saline, and Nicholas Kellogg of Tyler; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wells; sisters, Ruth Marrow and Evelyn Jones; brother, Melvin Ford; son-in-law, Stanford Talley; and granddaughter, Wendy Lee Wells.
Pallbearers will be Jason Wells, Dylan Wells, Justin Wells, Steven Talley, John Talley and Connor Talley.
