Charles Robert “Bobby” Hardaway, 79, of Greenville, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018 in McKinney.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, Oct. 20, at 10 a.m., at Memoryland Memorial Park, under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. John Kay will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 19, 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mr. Hardaway was born in Greenville on Dec. 17, 1938. He was the son of W. T. Hardaway, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Turk Hardaway. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1956. He married Gayla Ruth Johnson on June 3, 1960, in Port Arthur. He was the data processing manager for Henson-Kickernick for 30 years, and a lifelong member of Kavanaugh United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his son, Jim Hardaway and wife Elena; daughters, Cindy Ragsdale, Katie Robles and husband Carlos, and Jerrilyn Hardaway; brothers, John Hardaway and wife Marcie, and Bill Hardaway; grandchildren, Justin Ragsdale, Lisa Ragsdale and fiancé Cody Baxter, Cinto Robles, James Robles, Katelyn Hardaway, and Kelsey Hardaway; and great-grandchildren, Kole Ragsdale and Kooper Ragsdale.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and son, Charles Robert Hardaway, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Justin Ragsdale, Cinto Robles, James Robles and Cody Baxter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Kavanaugh United Methodist Church, 2516 Park St., Greenville, Texas 75401.
