    Steven Francis Owens, 37, of Fate, Texas, passed away Feb. 2, 2019. He was born April 17, 1981, in Garland, Texas, to Paul Francis Owens and Rosa Bell (Foster) Owens. Steven graduated from Poteet High School in Mesquite, Texas in 1999. He studied electrical engineering at Southern Methodist University and obtained his Juris Doctorate at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Steven enjoyed his career as a U.S. patent attorney and worked at Merchant & Gould in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was a member of the State Bar of Texas as well as the State Bar of Tennessee.     Mirta Sandoval Gonzalez was called to be with the lord on Sunday, February 3, 2019. She was 84 years old. Mirta was employed by the Laredo Air-force Base, then transferred to Fort Sam Houston, in San Antonio. She then returned to Laredo and retired from U.S Customs (Treasury dept.) Mirta dedicated herself to teach others about the word of God. She was very involved with the Catholic community. She helped established the mission of Santa Monica in El Cenizo.
