Bristow Leon Hankins, age 85, passed away at his home in Crockett, March 28, 2019. Leon was born July 26, 1933 to parents, Bristow Goins and Bessie Neet Goins. He drove stock cars at Longhorn Speedway in Austin and played guitar for Ray Campi and his Ramblers. Leon was a longtime sponsor of Houston Little League Baseball and a member of Good Shepherd Fellowship here in Crockett.

Leon is survived by his life partner of 30 years, Verna Davidson; daughter, Linda Lowrance and husband, Steve; sons, Larry Hankins and wife, Janice, Loren Hankins and wife, Renee; grandchildren, Jennifer Lowrance and partner, Jimmy Ruska, Lindsy Lowrance, Charles Hankins and wife, Alyssa, Staci Hankins, Justin Hankins, Erin Hankins; great-grandchildren, Haskall Ruska, Everett Bristow Hankins; numerous other loving relatives and friends. Leon was preceded in death by his father, Bristow Goins; mother, Bessie Hankins; step-father, Charles L. Hankins; and brother, Raymond Hankins.

Funeral services for Leon Hankins will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 31, 2019 in Good Shepherd Fellowship, Rev. Leon Wallace, officiating. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2019 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange. Pallbearers: Charles Hankins, Justin Hankins, Staci Hankins, Matthew Davidson, Gregory Davidson, and Terry Murray.
