Patty Harris, age 68 of Lakehills, passed away Monday, April 15, 2019 after an 11 month battle with cancer. She was born December 17, 1950 in San Antonio to Alvin and Dorothy (Tschirhart) Zimmerman. On August 26, 1983, she married Bobby Harris in San Antonio.
Patty graduated from Holmes High School. When she met Bobby, she worked at Woolworth’s at the Wonderland Mall in 1983. She was then employed at National Bank of Commerce at Ingram Park for the next five years. Patty co-owned and operated Shish-ka-Bobby’s for twelve years and also worked at Lake Medina RV Park for one year. She was the co-owner and operator of Tadpole’s Restaurant for the next ten years. She retired from Valero after five years.
Survivors include husband of 36 years, Bobby; daughter, Tammi Burris and husband, Corey; son, Paul Gass III and wife, Cody; Bobby’s daughters, Jenifer Harris and husband, Gordon Duncan and Brenda Haire and husband, Darren; sisters, Diane Woodell and Carol Lakin; grandchildren, Cody Burris, Kyle Burris, Taylor Gass, James Rodriguez and Beth Haire; two nieces and one nephew, Sherri Teltschik, Shaun Danna and Shawna Acuna; great-granddaughter, Paisley Burris; and other extended family members and treasured friends from Medina Lake and the Medina Lake RV Park including Jimmy Vaulter and Joyce Vaulter and Dick and Debbie Nelson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 26, 2019 at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Medina Rehab, especially Clarissa and Gretchen for their care and support, as well as the many friends who offered support and financial help during this difficult time.
