Ronnie Carl Raney of Hubbard, TX passed away Friday, September 11, 2020. After a courageous battle with cancer, his Heavenly Father called him home where he now has been perfectly healed.
Ronnie was born August 23, 1950 in Dallas County to Oleta Arnett Raney and Grover Raney. He graduated from Corsicana High School in 1968. He attended James Connelly Technical College in Waco, soon after voluntarily joining the United States Navy Seabees.
Ronnie married his beautiful and loving wife, Theresa on May 27, 2009. He worked at as Diesel Mechanic for 50 years, owning his business in Dallas.
Ronnie loved our Lord and Savior first and his family followed closely behind. A Board Member of the Point of Faith Church in Waco, he was a kind humble servant with a heart full of thankfulness for all of God’s blessings.
He leaves as his legacy sons James Raney – wife Kristi, Chris Raney – wife Sasha, Ryan Raney – wife Andrea, Kenny Matano – wife Olivia. He carried close to his heart his precious grandchildren, Brooke, Allie, Collin, Logan, Everett, Asher, Aiden, Hudson, Wyatt, Lola and Ryan.
Ronnie leaves behind 13 siblings, Frankie and Michael Whisenant, Lena Farmer, Beth and Dean Ginn, Joyce and Clyde Smalling, Peggy Gunnels, Shelby and Laura Raney, Charlotte and Mike Cordell, Elton and Linda Raney, Joy and Frank Serrano, Steven and Amy Raney, Robert and Jackie Raney, Henry and Charlie Raney, Audrey and Nathan Harris, many many nephews, nieces and cousins and his very special, loving Aunt Jo Ann Tomlin. He also left behind he and Theresa’s precious puppy, Lula Belle.
Predeceased are his mother Oleta Arnett Raney, father Grover Raney, sister Rose Ann Raney, brother Grover Earl Raney, brother Kenneth Raney, son Andy Matano.
A Memorial Service will be held at Wade Funeral Home in Hubbard, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2020, Bishop Charles Bledsoe officiating.
The family requests that any donations be made to Ronnie’s home church, Point of Faith Church, 2220 Air Base Road, Waco, TX. 76705.
