Funeral services for Kenneth Reynolds 91, of New York, Texas have been scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday September 15, 2020 at New York Baptist Church with Bro. Olin Boles officiating under the direction of Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at New York Cemetery.
Mr. Reynolds was born May 17, 1929 in New York, Texas to the late Wes and Helen Holley Reynolds. He was a longtime member of New York Baptist Church. In his early days Kenneth lived in Irving and was owner and operator of Reynolds Properties. He served on the Irving City Council as Mayor Pro Tem where he was involved in the construction of the original Texas Stadium. Upon retirement in 1993 he and his family moved back to the ranch in New York, Texas where he continued ranching which he truly loved. He loved to spend time with his family and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He loved playing with his granddaughter Kambri which had stolen his heart. Kenneth loved his church and was a loving Christian man who would help anyone who needed help.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Big John Reynolds, Weldon Reynolds, Jack Reynolds and Hugh Reynolds, sister; Coleen Flint and grandson Jordan Stanford.
Survivors are his loving wife of 27 years, Carol Reynolds, his daughters; Crystal Reynolds and granddaughter Kambri Lee, Shirlene Inmon and husband Eric, Kathleen Stanfield and husband Larry, his son, Duane Reynolds and wife Gayle, 3 Ukrainian daughters; Valarie, Oksana and Tatyana, Nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Nicky Reynolds, Ryan Reynolds, Levi Reynolds, Will Reynolds, Seth Douglas and T.J. Reynolds.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Almon, Fibber McGee, John Henry Reynolds, John Mark Reynolds, Dewey Reynolds, Lanny Reynolds , Jerry Douglas and Elton Gracey.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday evening from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
