Fournier, Rozemary

Rozemary Dillard Fournier of Frisco, Texas passed away on October 6, 2020, at the age of 89. She was born on October 27, 1930, to Harvey Russell and Mary Mae (Luton) Dillard in Joshua, Texas.
Rozemary grew up on their farm and graduated from Cleburne High School in 1947. She then worked as a legal secretary at the Johnson County Courthouse and later at Stanolind Oil and Gas in Fort Worth, Texas. Rozemary married Joseph Fournier of Pawtucket, Rhode Island on February 4, 1955. She was a homemaker and Joseph was in the Air Force until 1969 when he retired as a major. He then worked until 1989 as an aeronautical engineer for McDonnel Douglas in St. Louis, Missouri.
They were active members of Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church for many years. After Joe’s retirement, they moved to Everett, Washington, and then ten years later to Frisco, Texas, to be near their daughter, Monica, and her family.
Rozemary’s life was centered around her family, especially her two daughters and their families, whom she loved more than anything. Her focus was always on finding ways to enrich their lives. And she looked after her mother, who lived to be 100 years old.
Music was a big part of her life; she sang in gospel quartets as a young woman, played the piano throughout the years at the various churches she attended and supported the music involvement of her daughters.
Rozemary loved to entertain and would host large dinner parties. She was devoted to small group bible studies throughout the years and volunteered in many different capacities at her churches. Rozemary was an accomplished seamstress, making almost all the clothes she and her daughters wore when they were young.
Other interests included home decorating, scrapbooking and traveling. She had an engaging personality and was a fabulous storyteller, making life-long friends wherever she went. Because of her love and devotion to the Lord, she shared her faith with everyone around her. Her legacy of faith will continue to be a blessing through her children and grandchildren.
Rozemary is survived by her husband, Joseph; daughters, Michele Todd and husband, Leo, Monica Davenport and husband, David, eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Harvey Glen Dillard and stepson Joseph Paul Graham.
A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 16, 2020, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.
