WALLACE, Wayne W.

Wayne W. Wallace, 86, of the Wieland Community, Quinlan, Texas, passed away Nov. 20, 2021 at his residence, surrounded by his family.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021 at Creekside Church of Christ in Greenville, Texas with Brandon Watson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Prairie Valley Cemetery near Lone Oak. Visitation will be Saturday, from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the church.
Funeral services are under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Wayne was born Oct. 16, 1935 in the Wieland community of Hunt County, to Coleman Wallace and Ura Roberson Wallace. He graduated from Lone Oak High School and attended business school in Dallas. Wayne married Nadine Annette Holloway on June 15, 1957 in Garland, Texas and they soon moved to Wieland, where they raised their family.
Wayne worked as a postal carrier in Greenville, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after nearly 33 years of service. Wayne loved raising animals and was an award-winning cattle breeder.
Wayne was an active and devoted member of Creekside Church of Christ (formerly Johnson Street Church of Christ), where he served as an elder for 30 years. Wayne loved God, his family and the church.
Wayne is survived by a brother Jack Wallace, sons Larin Wallace, Lowell Wallace and wife Barbara, Danny Wallace and wife Jennifer, daughters Gwena Thomason and husband Jackie, Gay Lagunas and husband Javier, Donna Davis and husband Grant, grandchildren Trent Thomason, Trey Thomason, Troy Thomason, Texas Stevens and wife Jennifer, Breanne Baldermann and husband Michael, Brandon Stevens and wife Amber, Tamara Franklin and husband Chris, Sophia Wallace, Desiree Shea and husband Jeremy, Judah Wallace, Seth Wallace, Noah Wallace, Nate Wallace, Eli Wallace, Milla Wallace, Will Davis and wife Shiloh, Ben Davis, Eden Davis, great grandchildren Jack, Addie, Paisley, Gavin, Micah, Easton, Dean, Emma, Aleina, Warren, Darlene, Daisy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Nadine, son Royce Wallace, parents Coleman and Ura Wallace, sisters Lois Crouch and Juanice Van Huss, and brother Hilton Wallace.
Pallbearers will be Ben Davis, Will Davis, Brandon Stevens, Texas Stevens, Trent Thomason, Trey Thomason and Troy Thomason. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Hodo, Gary Pendergrass, Steve Pryce and Mark Wilhelm.
Memorials may be made to Brown Trail School of Preaching or Camp Deer Run.
