Myra Sue Duncan passed from this life on June 12, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 14, 1947, to Jesse Cecil and Grace Mae (Clauch) Duncan in Dallas, Texas.
Myra earned her master's degree in Education from North Texas State University and was a Physical Education teacher for both public and private schools and was very involved in fundraisers. Being an avid sports fan her whole life, after retirement she worked for the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Mavericks in the suites and chummed around with Nolan Ryan.
She loved going to Bossier City, Louisiana to play slots, had a love for animals, was a Dallas Cowboys fan, was an avid collector of sports memorabilia, and enjoyed cross stitching winning several awards at the Texas State Fair.
She was a great friend and a wonderful aunt to her nieces and nephews, taking them on fun trips and spending summers eating snow cones and watermelon.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, July 8, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the Laurel Land Chapel.
