  1. After raising me in California, my dad returned home to Texas, the state of his birth and
bought a little farm property. He loved it and he was glad to get out of California. The farm gave him the purpose one needs after retirement. He was a great influence on me. I’m glad he got to live life on his own terms. I’m glad he had a great wife to the end. His life was full. I’m going to miss him, is advice, and his daily emails.
    Rest in Peace Dad.

  2. I lived next door to Buford for 6 years in Carlsbad with my Husband Bob Dennis. Buford became a life long friend. We will miss his simple common sense approach to life, his whip smart mind, his practical jokes, and his friendship above all. We too will miss his daily emails and advice. Our thoughts and prayers to Tom and Clay.

  3. I knew Buford since I got out Pharmacy College. During that time we worked together for 6 years. He had a great dry sense of humor as well a superior intellect. He always had little comments on price of gas or flying airplanes. I’ll miss him like hell. Fly with the eagles Buford

  4. Our friendship goes back over 30 years when he welcomed me into the “morning coffee shop” group in Del Mar. I was an aspiring pilot flying for a small commuter airline and he took interest in my flying. After being hired by American Airlines and based in New York he open his home to me on my many trips back to San Diego. I know I didn’t thank him enough.
