It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Charles “Brad” Cavnish Bradbury, Jr. He lost a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia on Friday, September 28, 2018, in Bryan, Texas.
Brad was born on September 9, 1926 to Willa Belle (Wilson) and Charles C. Bradbury in Fort Worth Texas. At 15 he was graduated from Arlington Heights High School. Subsequently enrolling at Texas A & M College. At 17, he volunteered for service in Naval Aviation during World War II. Following his service Brad returned to TAMC to complete his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
In 1951 Brad met his first love, Mary Rose Poje. They married in June and celebrated 50 wonderful years, of which 35 years were spent overseas in Chemical Engineering. Throughout their travels Brad and Mary met many lifelong friends playing golf.
Brad and Mary will be interned with his parents and beloved grandparents W.H. and Libbie (Mirick) Wilson in Cleburne, Texas.
Dad is survived by his daughter, Theresa Charl Lee Bradbury and his Ladyfriend, Josephine “Jo” Braca.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, October 4 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan, Texas with graveside services Saturday, October 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Cemetery in Cleburne, Texas.
Please, no flowers, Brad requested that memorials be given to a charity of one’s choice. His favorites were American Cancer Society, Parkinson’s Disease, Children’s Hospital, Lighthouse for the Blind.
